How to battle homesickness

We've all been there. Moving away from home is scary and takes some time to get used to. So heres
my top tips to make living away from home that little bit easier:

1) Keep busy, never stop, of course have 'your time' but keeping busy gives you less time to sit and think about what your missing

2) Always have something to look forward to! Whether it be a holiday, date night, or just brunch with your friends! It gives your brain a path and an aim to get through the day/week!

3) Let your self be homesick, the more you fight it the worse it gets! We are all human, it's ok to miss the place you might have always called 'home'.

4) Explore your new surrounding area - I have only just found time to explore all the shops, parks and picturesque streets near me and I can't believe what I've been missing out on! The more familiar you are with your surroundings the sooner your be able to call it your new 'home'.

5) Make as many friends as possible and be sociable! London is a huge city with many things to do and see however doing these things with friends make it 10 times better. It also gives you a opportunity to share and exchange experiences with others.

6) Make your accommodation as homely as possible, coming back 'home' after a long day is heaps better when you can relax and be comfortable in your own space!

7) If your anything like me a weekly treat gets me by! Whether it's a new piece of makeup, food or another item of clothing to add to your wardrobe it never fails to put a smile on my face!
